Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced risk assessment models for commercial property/casualty portfolios
- Analyze emerging risk trends using big data analytics and machine learning frameworks
- Collaborate with actuaries to develop pricing strategies that balance profitability and market competitiveness
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing innovative insurance products for emerging markets
- Present complex risk analyses to executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Maintain compliance with evolving insurance regulations (NAIC, state-specific)
- Mentor junior analysts while establishing best practices in risk modeling
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Statistics, or related field (MS/MBA preferred)
- 7+ years of commercial insurance underwriting or risk analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and R for data manipulation and modeling
- CAS or ACAS designation with ongoing progress toward FCAS
- Demonstrated experience with predictive modeling and catastrophe risk assessment
- Deep understanding of insurance accounting principles and reserve methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts to non-technical audiences
- Proven track record of developing risk frameworks for multi-line portfolios
