Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced risk assessment models for property/casualty insurance products
- Analyze large datasets to identify emerging risk trends and quantify exposure
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to refine risk pricing strategies
- Prepare regulatory compliance reports and ensure adherence to state/federal guidelines
- Mentor junior analysts and lead cross-functional risk mitigation projects
- Present findings to executive stakeholders using data visualization tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Statistics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in commercial insurance risk analysis
- Advanced proficiency in R, Python, or SAS for statistical modeling
- Professional designation (ASA, CERA, or ARM) preferred
- Demonstrated experience with catastrophe modeling platforms (e.g., RMS, AIR)
- Strong understanding of insurance regulations and rating methodologies
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex data
