Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial insurance portfolios using advanced statistical modeling and predictive analytics
- Develop risk assessment frameworks for emerging markets and specialty insurance lines
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance our proprietary risk management software platform
- Present risk mitigation strategies to executive stakeholders through compelling visual dashboards
- Monitor regulatory changes and their impact on underwriting practices across 50 states
- Mentor junior analysts while maintaining accurate documentation of all risk methodologies
- Lead quarterly portfolio reviews with regional underwriting teams to optimize performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial insurance risk analysis with P&C specialization
- Advanced proficiency in SAS, R, or Python with portfolio modeling experience
- CAS designation or actively pursuing with 3+ exams completed
- Deep understanding of insurance regulations (NAIC, state-specific requirements)
- Proven track record of developing predictive models with 90%+ accuracy
- Exceptional presentation skills translating complex data to non-technical audiences
- Experience with catastrophe modeling platforms (AIR, RMS, or CoreLogic)
