Responsibilities
- Analyze complex insurance portfolios using advanced statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms
- Design and implement risk mitigation strategies for property, casualty, and specialty lines
- Lead cross-functional projects to enhance underwriting accuracy and loss ratio optimization
- Develop regulatory compliance frameworks ensuring adherence to state/federal insurance regulations
- Present risk insights to executive stakeholders through compelling visualizations and reports
- Mentor junior analysts while fostering a culture of data-driven decision making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Statistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in insurance risk analysis or underwriting
- Expert proficiency in R, Python, and SQL with experience in predictive modeling
- Professional designations (ARM, CPCU, or ASA) highly valued
- Demonstrated success in developing risk assessment frameworks for complex portfolios
- Strong understanding of insurance regulations (NAIC, Solvency II, IFRS 17)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
