Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex predictive models and algorithms to assess risk and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to integrate data-driven insights into policy decisions and product development.
- Perform deep-dive data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Build interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or PowerBI to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., MAS guidelines).
- Lead initiatives to automate manual underwriting tasks using AI and machine learning technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with experience in SQL for data manipulation.
- Strong understanding of insurance concepts, including underwriting cycles, risk assessment, and claims processing.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
