Responsibilities
- Predictive Modeling: Develop and maintain sophisticated predictive models to forecast claim severity, identify fraud patterns, and refine underwriting criteria.
- Claims Optimization: Analyze historical claims data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
- Dashboarding: Design and maintain interactive, executive-level dashboards using Tableau and PowerBI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends.
- Data Governance: Establish and enforce data quality standards and governance protocols to ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., NAIC, state-specific laws).
- Collaboration: Work closely with underwriters, actuaries, and product managers to integrate data insights into core business strategies.
- Research: Stay abreast of the latest trends in insurance analytics and machine learning to propose innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in data analytics, specifically within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn), SQL, and R.
- Visualization: Proven experience creating visualizations in Tableau, PowerBI, or similar tools.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and derive actionable insights.
