Responsibilities
- Analyze Market Trends: Conduct in-depth quantitative analysis of market data to identify emerging risks and opportunities for portfolio growth.
- Refine Pricing Models: Collaborate with the pricing team to develop and adjust pricing strategies based on historical data and predictive modeling.
- Client & Broker Relations: Act as the primary analytical contact for key brokers, providing insightful reports and presentations to support underwriting decisions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all analytical outputs adhere to FCA and Solvency II regulatory standards and internal risk governance frameworks.
- Mentorship: Guide junior analysts and underwriters in data interpretation and best practices for risk assessment.
- Report Generation: Create comprehensive monthly and quarterly performance reports for senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorâs degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or a related field; Masterâs degree is a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in insurance analysis, underwriting support, or risk consulting within the Lloydâs market or general insurance sector.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with SQL or Python for data manipulation.
- Certifications: Professional qualifications such as CII ACII or an actuarial qualification (e.g., CT1/CT8) are highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy in data processing and reporting.
