Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data models, dashboards, and reports using various data sources to support clinical, operational, and financial initiatives.
- Perform in-depth statistical analysis on large healthcare datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decision-making and performance improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical staff, IT professionals, and leadership to understand analytical needs and translate them into actionable data solutions.
- Develop and implement predictive analytics models to forecast patient outcomes, resource utilization, and population health trends.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and adherence to data governance policies and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
- Present complex analytical findings clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders, providing data-driven recommendations.
- Mentor junior analysts, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning and data excellence.
- Actively participate in the evaluation and selection of new data technologies and tools to enhance analytical capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role within a healthcare setting.
- Expert proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis of large, complex datasets.
- Strong experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik Sense for data visualization and dashboard development.
- Demonstrated experience with statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for advanced analytics, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
- Familiarity with various healthcare data standards, terminologies (e.g., ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED), and EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Solid understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
