Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to reduce costs, improve quality, and mitigate supply chain risks for key categories.
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Cultivate strong, long-term partnerships with key suppliers to drive innovation, ensure reliability, and maximize value.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with vendors on pricing, terms, and conditions to secure favorable agreements that align with company goals.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze spend data to identify optimization opportunities and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior procurement staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, and Engineering.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior specialist role.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and procurement software.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts and managing complex supplier negotiations.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data, market trends, and supplier performance metrics.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) are highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
