Responsibilities
- Lead R&D initiatives for novel plant-based protein formulations using advanced food chemistry techniques
- Optimize sensory profiles through iterative taste-testing protocols and consumer feedback analysis
- Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and international food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000)
- Manage pilot-scale production trials and scale-up processes for commercial viability
- Develop sustainable ingredient sourcing strategies aligned with ESG objectives
- Present research findings to executive stakeholders and industry conferences
- Mentor junior scientists and cross-functional innovation teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in food product development, specifically plant-based proteins
- Expertise in rheology, texture analysis, and shelf-life extension methodologies
- Proficiency with analytical instruments (HPLC, GC-MS, rheometer)
- Track record of launching commercial food products from concept to market
- Certification in HACCP or ISO 22000 food safety management
- Demonstrated success in securing industry innovation grants or patents
