Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Lead financial statement preparation and analysis for stakeholders and regulatory compliance
- Develop and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure SOX compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation
- Manage audit processes and relationships with external auditors and tax authorities
- Drive process improvements in financial systems and reporting workflows
- Mentor finance team members and provide guidance on complex accounting matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
- 8+ years progressive experience in financial accounting with 3+ years in leadership role
- Expertise in US GAAP, SOX compliance, and multi-state tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
- Proven track record of leading successful financial audits and process improvements
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex financial concepts clearly
- Experience in manufacturing or distribution industry highly desirable
