Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Manage general ledger operations, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll systems
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to executive leadership
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual financial reviews
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize department workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA required
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with 3+ in controller role
- Expert proficiency in GAAP and SOX compliance frameworks
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex financial data
- Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams of 5+
- Experience in financial services or consulting industry
