Are you a seasoned finance professional looking to elevate your career within a high-growth fintech firm? Apex Capital Solutions is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to oversee our core accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance strategy in the heart of Manhattan.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial infrastructure, providing leadership to our accounting team, and delivering critical insights to the executive board to drive sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounting function, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
- Direct the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes with strict adherence to GAAP standards.
- Oversee internal controls and audit activities to ensure 100% compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements, budget variance analysis, and cash flow forecasts.
- Lead the tax planning and filing strategy in coordination with external auditors.
- Implement and optimize financial software systems to improve data accuracy and reporting speed.
- Provide strategic financial mentorship to junior accounting staff and department heads.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or financial management.
- Deep understanding of US GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Sage Intacct).
- Exceptional analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets for executive leadership.
- Proven track record of managing and scaling a high-performing finance team.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
