Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes with 24-hour accuracy
- Manage all aspects of financial reporting including GAAP-compliant statements and SEC filings
- Oversee internal controls and SOX compliance initiatives
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies
- Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to C-suite executives
- Mentor junior accounting staff and foster continuous improvement culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 8+ years progressive accounting experience with 3+ in leadership roles
- Deep expertise in SOX compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Excel modeling
- Strong understanding of GAAP and SEC regulations
- Experience managing multi-state operations and international transactions
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to translate complex financial data into strategic recommendations
