Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations, including General Ledger, AP/AR, and payroll.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process and ensure successful external audit outcomes.
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate risk and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide comprehensive financial analysis and forecasting to the executive leadership team.
- Manage tax compliance and coordinate with external tax advisors for filing requirements.
- Mentor and lead the accounting department, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA license is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a financial services firm.
- Expert-level proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Sage Intacct) and advanced Excel.
- Deep understanding of US GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proven track record of improving accounting processes and internal controls.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to bridge the gap between financial data and business strategy.
- Strong analytical mindset and uncompromising attention to detail.
