Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee financial reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP standards
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and risk management frameworks
- Collaborate with executive team on strategic financial planning and forecasting
- Manage team of 5 financial analysts through performance coaching and development
- Drive process optimization through automation and technology implementation
- Present financial insights to stakeholders through executive dashboards and presentations
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 8+ years' post-qualification experience
- Proven experience in financial controller or similar senior finance role
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems (SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations and corporate compliance requirements
- Experience managing cross-functional finance teams in multinational environments
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to executive leadership
- Experience implementing ERP systems and process improvement initiatives
