Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate IFRS and UK GAAP standards.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, delivering timely and accurate financial statements to the Board of Directors.
- Develop and manage robust internal controls and financial policies to mitigate risk and ensure operational excellence.
- Direct the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, providing deep-dive analysis into variances and KPIs.
- Manage corporate tax compliance, VAT filings, and coordinate with external auditors for seamless year-end reviews.
- Collaborate with the CTO to implement and optimize automated financial reporting tools and ERP enhancements.
- Provide strategic insight into cash flow management and investment strategies to support the company’s long-term scaling objectives.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience.
- Proven track record in a Senior Financial Controller or Finance Director role, ideally within FinTech or Professional Services.
- Exceptional expertise in IFRS and UK GAAP reporting requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a high-performing finance team.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Superior communication skills, capable of influencing C-suite stakeholders and external partners.
