Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end/quarter-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Lead SOX compliance initiatives and internal control development
- Manage financial reporting for SEC filings and institutional investors
- Drive process improvements in GL systems and accounting workflows
- Coordinate annual audits and regulatory examinations
- Develop financial models for portfolio valuation and risk analysis
- Mentor accounting staff and implement professional development programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA required)
- 8+ years progressive accounting experience with 3+ in public accounting
- Expertise in SEC reporting and complex equity portfolio accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Oracle NetSuite and BI tools
- Demonstrated success in leading SOX 404 compliance programs
- Strong analytical skills with attention to regulatory nuances
- Experience managing hybrid accounting teams (5+ direct reports)
- Familiarity with fintech or asset management industry preferred
