Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities to support strategic decision-making
- Manage relationships with external auditors and tax authorities during examinations
- Optimize accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership
- Mentor and develop accounting staff through training and professional development initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA required
- 8+ years progressive accounting experience with 3+ years in a leadership role
- Expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, SAP) and Excel modeling
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Proven track record of process improvement and system implementation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive audiences
- Experience in public accounting or tech/financial services preferred
