Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly and annual financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Prepare complex financial statements, management accounts, and variance analysis reports for senior leadership.
- Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to drive financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and statutory regulations.
- Mentor junior accountants and provide technical guidance on accounting standards and software systems.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or part-qualified with significant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in advanced MS Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Sage).
- Strong understanding of tax legislation, corporate governance, and financial audit requirements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
