Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Lead the monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of statutory reports in compliance with FRS 102.
- Prepare complex financial statements and management accounts, providing variance analysis to senior leadership.
- Oversee the annual audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in a senior accounting role within a UK-based corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and financial accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders.
