Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deliverables are completed accurately and within strict deadlines.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements and management reports to support senior leadership decision-making.
- Ensure strict compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards and relevant tax legislation.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, providing variance analysis and strategic insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize working capital and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (Xero, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Deep understanding of UK tax compliance and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
