Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements (GAAP/IFRS) for corporate and non-profit clients
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct detailed audits of internal controls and financial reporting systems
- Develop and implement process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage)
- Manage tax compliance filings and liaise with regulatory bodies (IRS, state agencies)
- Mentor junior accountants through training programs and performance reviews
- Present financial insights to C-suite executives and board members
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA or CMA strongly preferred
- 5+ years progressive experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expertise in GAAP/IFRS standards and SEC reporting requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and accounting ERP systems
- Proven track record of managing financial audits and compliance projects
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
- Experience in healthcare or manufacturing industries a plus
