Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deliverables are met on schedule.
- Prepare and review complex financial statements, including balance sheets and P&Ls.
- Oversee bank reconciliations and intercompany transaction settlements.
- Manage external audit requirements and coordinate with statutory auditors.
- Conduct variance analysis to provide insights on financial performance to senior management.
- Implement internal controls and process improvements to mitigate financial risk.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and assist in tax compliance filings.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in financial accounting or audit within a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in advanced Excel functions and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or Xero).
- In-depth knowledge of UK Tax legislation and HMRC regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
