Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with rigorous reconciliation procedures
- Develop and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with auditors during external financial examinations
- Implement process improvements using financial automation tools
- Support strategic decision-making through variance analysis and forecasting
- Mentor junior accountants on technical accounting standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Excel modeling
- Strong analytical skills with attention to numerical precision
- Proven track record of process optimization in accounting workflows
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- Certifications in financial software (e.g., Hyperion, Tableau) a plus
