Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with commentary on variances
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Lead audit coordination with external auditors and ensure compliance with GAAP/SEC regulations
- Develop and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with FP&A team on budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash flow
- Mentor junior accountants and improve department workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in month-end closing, SOX compliance, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, Oracle) and MS Excel
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing audits and regulatory filings
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex data clearly
