Responsibilities
- End-to-End Leadership: Oversee the complete lifecycle of events, including conceptualization, planning, budgeting, and post-event analysis to ensure optimal ROI.
- Vendor Management: Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with third-party vendors, including caterers, AV specialists, and venue coordinators, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Team Coordination: Lead, mentor, and supervise a diverse team of event coordinators and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, managing expectations, conducting site visits, and delivering exceptional client service throughout the process.
- Logistical Excellence: Develop and execute detailed run sheets, manage risk assessments, and ensure flawless execution of all on-site operations.
- Financial Control: Create and manage comprehensive event budgets, tracking expenses against forecasts to maintain profitability.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in events management, preferably within a high-end corporate or agency setting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered).
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite, Asana) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse stakeholders.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation abilities to secure favorable contracts with vendors and suppliers.
- Problem Solving: Ability to think critically and solve problems instantly in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.
