Responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership of corporate events (50+ attendees), from concept ideation and vendor negotiations to post-event analysis
- Manage $2M+ event budgets with meticulous financial tracking and vendor cost optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams including creative, production, and marketing departments
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with premium venues, vendors, and industry influencers
- Implement cutting-edge event technologies (VR/AR, live streaming, interactive apps) for hybrid experiences
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop contingency protocols for large-scale events
- Analyze post-event KPIs and ROI metrics to drive continuous improvement strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or Marketing (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years progressive experience managing corporate events with $1M+ budgets
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation or equivalent industry certification
- Expertise in hybrid event production and virtual platform management (e.g., Hopin, Zoom Events)
- Proven crisis management skills with ability to execute flawless events under pressure
- Advanced proficiency in event management software (Cvent, Eventbrite Pro, Aventri)
- Strong vendor negotiation skills with established relationships in NYC event ecosystem
- Exceptional project management and stakeholder communication abilities
