Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of 15+ high-stakes annual events (50-5,000 attendees) including corporate conferences, brand activations, and fundraising galas
- Manage multi-million dollar budgets, negotiating contracts with premium vendors and venues while maintaining strict cost controls
- Oversee cross-functional teams of designers, AV technicians, and logistics specialists to ensure flawless event delivery
- Develop innovative event concepts leveraging emerging technologies (AR/VR, AI-driven personalization) and sustainability best practices
- Conduct post-event analytics to measure ROI, generate executive reports, and identify growth opportunities
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 clients, understanding their business objectives to align event strategies
- Implement crisis management protocols ensuring flawless execution despite unforeseen challenges
Qualifications
- 8+ years progressive experience in corporate event management with demonstrable success scaling events to 5,000+ attendees
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or equivalent field with proven certifications (CMP, CMM preferred)
- Expertise in budget management ($500K+ events) and contract negotiation with premium vendors/venues
- Portfolio showcasing 3+ award-winning events with measurable business impact (e.g., 30%+ engagement lift)
- Advanced proficiency in event tech platforms (Cvent, Aventri, Eventbrite) and data visualization tools
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with experience interfacing directly with C-suite executives
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams under tight deadlines in high-pressure environments
- Deep knowledge of NYC event landscape including premier venues, vendors, and regulatory compliance
