Responsibilities
- End-to-End Leadership: Manage complex corporate events and conferences from initial briefing through to final debrief, ensuring seamless execution.
- Budget Management: Create detailed budgets, monitor expenditures in real-time, and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
- Vendor Relations: Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with a diverse network of venues, caterers, AV specialists, and production companies.
- Client Strategy: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, translating their business objectives into engaging event concepts.
- Risk Control: Identify potential risks and implement proactive measures to ensure health and safety compliance and operational continuity.
- Team Mentorship: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of event coordinators and junior staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Post-Event Analysis: Conduct detailed reviews and produce comprehensive reports to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in events management, with a proven portfolio of high-profile corporate events.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects under tight deadlines using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to C-suite executives.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert level in event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite, Asana) and MS Office Suite.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
- Networking: Strong existing network of contacts within the London events industry.
