In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, managing budgets, negotiating with vendors, and inspiring a dedicated team of coordinators. Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Conceptualize, plan, and execute complex corporate events ranging from intimate executive meetings to large-scale industry summits.
- Vendor Management: Source, select, and manage relationships with premium venues, caterers, AV suppliers, and entertainment acts to ensure top-tier quality.
- Budget Control: Develop comprehensive event budgets, monitor expenses in real-time, and ensure projects remain financially viable without compromising quality.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior event coordinators, delegate tasks effectively, and foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
- Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with key clients, conducting pre-event briefings and post-event reviews to ensure 100% satisfaction.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee on-site logistics, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations and contingency planning for any unforeseen circumstances.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in event management, preferably within a premium agency or large-scale corporate setting.
- Track Record: Proven history of successfully managing budgets exceeding £100k and delivering events for high-profile clients.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite, Asana) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
- Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing priorities or last-minute changes.
- Travel: Willingness to travel for site visits and event management as required (estimated 10-15 days per month).
