Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
- Conduct facility audits and compliance monitoring for EPA, TCEQ, and federal regulations
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across 3 sites
- Manage hazardous waste disposal, air quality permits, and spill response protocols
- Collaborate with operations team to integrate EHS into capital projects and process changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 10+ years EHS experience in manufacturing or heavy industry
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) and/or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) certification
- Expertise in OSHA regulations, EPA reporting, and Texas environmental statutes
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- Proven track record of reducing TRIR below 1.0 and achieving VPP Star status
- Strong data analysis skills with experience developing EHS KPI dashboards
