Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and oversee the installation of electrical power systems, including low and high voltage distribution.
- Perform detailed load flow analysis, short circuit studies, and arc flash hazard assessments to ensure system reliability and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical components into larger systems.
- Conduct rigorous testing, commissioning, and validation of electrical prototypes and final products.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal codes (NEC, IEEE) and safety regulations.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in electrical system design and analysis.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or SKM PowerTools.
- Strong understanding of power generation, transmission, and distribution concepts.
- Experience with PLC programming and SCADA systems is a significant plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
