Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of high-voltage power distribution networks.
- Perform comprehensive load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies using ETAP or SKM.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate renewable energy sources into existing grid infrastructure.
- Oversee technical documentation, ensuring compliance with IEEE, NEC, and NFPA standards.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical oversight on complex project deliverables.
- Review contractor submittals and conduct site visits to ensure strict design adherence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required (California licensure preferred).
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in power systems, utilities, or industrial electrical design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and power system analysis software (ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower).
- In-depth knowledge of NEC, NESC, and international electrical safety codes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering high-stakes engineering projects on time.
