Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee the company's Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage the reporting of environmental metrics, including waste management, emissions, and energy consumption.
- Lead the development and delivery of comprehensive safety training programs for all employees.
- Coordinate with external agencies and auditors to prepare for inspections and maintain certification (e.g., ISO 14001).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce workplace incidents and enhance safety culture.
- Investigate accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventative measures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in EHS management within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Deep understanding of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and environmental compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and create actionable reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for training and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
