Responsibilities
- Strategic Media Relations: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive PR strategies that secure placement in top-tier national and international publications.
- Crisis Management: Serve as the primary spokesperson and strategist during critical incidents, mitigating risk and preserving brand reputation.
- Thought Leadership: Cultivate and position executives as industry authorities through speaking engagements, op-eds, and content creation.
- Influencer Partnerships: Identify and manage relationships with key influencers and brand ambassadors to amplify brand reach.
- Team Leadership: Mentor a team of PR specialists, fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and continuous professional growth.
- Measurement & Analytics: Track campaign performance using industry-standard metrics (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to optimize future strategies.
- Event Management: Oversee the planning and execution of high-profile product launches and brand events.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or journalism, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior management role.
- Network: Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with top-tier media outlets in the New York market and beyond.
- Crisis Comms: Demonstrated expertise in crisis communication planning and execution.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to translate business objectives into compelling communication strategies.
- Tools: Proficiency in media monitoring tools (e.g., Meltwater, Cision) and content management systems.
