Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of government IT projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-implementation support.
  • Ensure all technical solutions adhere to strict federal standards, including the Official Languages Act and Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act (ATIP).
  • Collaborate with inter-departmental stakeholders and subject matter experts to define technical architecture and system requirements.
  • Oversee the migration of legacy systems to modern, scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
  • Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data and infrastructure.
  • Mentor junior analysts and developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and performance monitoring to ensure system availability and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT project management or systems analysis within the public sector or a highly regulated industry.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Proven expertise in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Bilingualism: Mandatory ability to work effectively in both English and French (CCAT Level 4 or higher).
  • Active security clearance (Reliability or Secret level) or the ability to obtain one.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks and IT service management best practices.
