Responsibilities
- Design and implement machine learning models to predict energy consumption patterns and grid efficiency
- Analyze large-scale climate datasets using Python, R, and cloud computing platforms
- Lead research initiatives in sustainable technology and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI solutions into renewable energy systems
- Mentor junior data scientists and establish best practices for data governance
- Present findings to executive stakeholders and translate technical insights into strategic recommendations
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in applied data science with focus on environmental or energy sectors
- Expert proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and SQL
- Strong background in statistical modeling and experimental design
- Published research in climate science, energy systems, or environmental AI
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and big data technologies
