Job Description

Are you a data storyteller looking to transform complex datasets into actionable business intelligence? Nexus Analytics is seeking a sharp, strategic Senior Data Analyst to join our high-growth product team in San Francisco. You will bridge the gap between technical data engineering and executive decision-making, driving the product roadmap through rigorous statistical analysis and data visualization.

We are a fast-paced, remote-first, yet deeply collaborative team that values curiosity, ownership, and precision. If you thrive on solving gnarly data problems and influencing product strategy, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable dashboards using Tableau or Looker to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct deep-dive exploratory data analysis to identify trends, user behavior patterns, and optimization opportunities.
  • Partner with Product Managers and Engineering to define event tracking requirements and data schemas.
  • Build and automate complex SQL queries to extract data from Snowflake for stakeholder reporting.
  • Translate complex data findings into compelling narratives and visual presentations for the executive leadership team.
  • Perform A/B testing analysis to support product feature rollouts and growth experiments.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring source-of-truth reliability across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or product analytics.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and experience working with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery.
  • Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI).
  • Strong proficiency in Python or R for statistical analysis and data manipulation.
  • Experience in designing and analyzing controlled experiments (A/B testing).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
