Sentinel Nexus is seeking a visionary Senior Cybersecurity Architect to join our elite defense team in Arlington, VA. In this high-impact role, you will design and implement sophisticated security frameworks to protect critical infrastructure against state-sponsored threats. You will lead cross-functional engineering squads and define the security posture for our next-generation cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee the deployment of Zero Trust security models across hybrid-cloud environments.
- Lead threat modeling exercises and vulnerability assessments for large-scale enterprise systems.
- Define and implement security standards, policies, and best practices aligned with NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks.
- Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline (DevSecOps).
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for incident response, forensics, and remediation strategies.
- Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge security technologies, including AI-driven monitoring and automated threat detection.
- Mentor junior security engineers and promote a culture of security-first development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, engineering, or systems security.
- Expert-level proficiency in AWS/Azure cloud security architecture.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network security, encryption protocols, and identity access management (IAM).
- Proven experience with scripting languages such as Python, Go, or PowerShell for security automation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex security risks into business language for executive stakeholders.
