Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial insurance risks to determine insurability and pricing accuracy.
- Build and nurture long-term partnerships with top-tier brokers to drive profitable growth.
- Mentor junior underwriters and provide technical guidance on complex policy endorsements.
- Monitor market trends and adjust underwriting guidelines to maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborate with the actuarial team to refine rating models and risk assessment protocols.
- Ensure full compliance with state regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
- Lead high-stakes renewal negotiations for enterprise-level accounts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial lines underwriting (Property/Casualty).
- Professional designation such as CPCU, ARM, or AU is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in risk analysis software and Microsoft Excel.
- Proven track record of managing a multi-million dollar book of business.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for high-level negotiations.
