Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize clinical information systems (EHR) to enhance patient care workflows
- Analyze clinical data to identify process improvements and system enhancements
- Train healthcare staff on new technologies and informatics solutions
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HL7, and other healthcare data standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop clinical decision support tools
- Lead informatics projects from requirements gathering through post-implementation evaluation
- Stay current with emerging healthcare technologies and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Health Informatics, Nursing, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of clinical informatics experience in hospital setting
- Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) or Informatics Nurse (RN-BC) preferred
- Expertise in Epic EHR systems and clinical database management
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Excellent communication abilities to translate technical concepts for clinical teams
- Experience with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM)
- Proven project management skills in healthcare IT implementations
