Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and optimization of clinical data systems, ensuring data integrity and interoperability across EHR platforms.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership and IT teams to design and implement health informatics solutions that improve patient safety and operational efficiency.
- Develop custom reports and dashboards using SQL and visualization tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) in real-time.
- Conduct user training sessions and provide ongoing technical support for clinical staff regarding data entry and system navigation.
- Stay abreast of emerging healthcare technologies and regulatory standards to recommend innovative upgrades to our infrastructure.
- Oversee data governance policies to ensure compliance with HIPAA and FDA regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Nursing, Medicine, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or similar credentials are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical informatics, healthcare IT, or a related clinical role.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
- Deep understanding of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Allscripts.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for non-technical clinical staff.
