Responsibilities
- Investigate and analyze complex property and casualty claims to determine coverage and liability.
- Conduct thorough interviews with claimants, witnesses, and involved parties to gather factual evidence.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support claim settlements or denials.
- Negotiate fair and prompt settlements with policyholders and legal representatives.
- Ensure full compliance with state insurance regulations and company internal guidelines.
- Collaborate with legal counsel, experts, and subrogation units on litigated files.
- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction through proactive communication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in property and casualty claims adjusting.
- Current Adjuster License in the state of Connecticut.
- Advanced knowledge of insurance policies, coverage analysis, and liability laws.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in industry-standard claims management software (e.g., Xactimate, Guidewire).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
