Responsibilities
- Investigate and analyze complex P&C insurance claims to determine liability and coverage.
- Perform detailed site inspections and evaluate damages to produce accurate loss estimates.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and third-party representatives effectively.
- Maintain impeccable documentation standards in accordance with state regulations and internal compliance protocols.
- Collaborate with legal counsel, forensic experts, and underwriters to resolve disputed claims.
- Mentor junior adjusters and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the department.
- Communicate complex insurance policy terms to policyholders with empathy and clarity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of direct experience handling Property & Casualty insurance claims.
- Active adjuster license required; multi-state licensure is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of insurance policy language, state regulations, and legal standards.
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining superior quality control.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Xactimate, Guidewire, or similar industry-standard claims management software.
