This hybrid role combines strategic oversight with hands-on case resolution in our fast-paced downtown Manhattan office.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and resolve high-value commercial insurance claims ($50K-$2M) through comprehensive investigation techniques
- Leverage data analytics tools to identify fraud patterns and optimize claim outcomes
- Collaborate with legal counsel and external experts on complex liability assessments
- Mentor junior adjusters through structured training programs and case reviews
- Develop innovative process improvements using claims management software (Guidewire, Duck Creek)
- Represent the company in mediation sessions and settlement negotiations
- Ensure compliance with NY state insurance regulations and industry best practices
Qualifications
- 7+ years of commercial claims adjusting experience with P&C specialization
- Advanced certification in Claims Law (AIC) or Claims Management (AICPCU)
- Expertise in property damage assessment and liability investigation methodologies
- Proficiency in claims analytics platforms and data visualization tools
- Proven track record in fraud detection and complex settlement negotiations
- Strong leadership experience with formal mentoring responsibilities
- Valid NY State Adjuster License (3-20-11)
