Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of complex civil infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, SAP2000)
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage project timelines/budgets
- Ensure compliance with municipal, state, and federal engineering standards (IDOT, FEMA, OSHA)
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments
- Mentor junior engineers and develop innovative sustainable solutions
- Present technical proposals to municipal boards and private stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- PE license in Illinois (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- 8+ years of experience in civil infrastructure design and project management
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, BIM modeling, and hydraulic analysis software
- Proven track record with IDOT/FHWA projects and permitting processes
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams
- LEED AP certification highly desirable
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
