Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including bridges, transit systems, and urban developments
- Manage project lifecycle from feasibility studies through to construction oversight and commissioning
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including OSHA and ADA standards
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, environmental specialists, and contractors
- Develop cost estimates and project schedules while maintaining budgetary constraints
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality assurance reviews of technical documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience with infrastructure projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
- Proven track record managing projects exceeding $10M in value
- Deep knowledge of Chicago municipal codes and construction methodologies
- Strong leadership skills with experience directing cross-functional teams
- LEED AP certification highly desirable
