Responsibilities
- Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload of children and families, conducting thorough risk assessments and safety planning to ensure the highest standard of care.
- Intervention: Implement and monitor support plans, coordinating with external agencies, schools, and healthcare providers to ensure holistic support.
- Advocacy: Act as a strong advocate for the rights and needs of children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential case files and reports in line with statutory requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, supervision sessions, and training programs to enhance professional practice.
Qualifications
- Qualifications: A recognized degree in Social Work (CQSW, BA, or MA) and full HCPC registration.
- Experience: Proven experience in Child Protection and Looked After Children services within a UK local authority or independent sector.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Care Act 2014, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and relevant safeguarding legislation.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication (verbal and written), and the ability to work under pressure in high-stakes environments.
