Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a high-acuity cardiovascular surgical and recovery setting.
- Monitor patient vital signs and interpret complex cardiac rhythms in real-time.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including cardiologists, surgeons, and therapists.
- Administer cardiac medications and manage infusions with high attention to safety.
- Provide comprehensive patient and family education regarding post-operative recovery.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.
- Participate in emergency response teams, including ACLS-certified interventions.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Cardiovascular unit.
- Active ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive under extreme clinical pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to collaborative team-based care.
